2021-05-21: Dead branch near Audubon trail east of Santa Fe (B&W-2)
Junipers and Pinon pines find the climate of the Santa Fe Foothills quite suitable for their growth and reproduction. This does not mean that life is easy for them. Many healthy trees and bushes have dead branches such as the one shown here. Trails near the Randall Davey Audubon Center and Sanctuary give easy access to the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
