2020-11-01: Cottonwood tree bent towards the Santa Fe River (color)

Today the riverbanks of the Santa Fe River have been stabilized with high stone walls. In the older days floods, continuous erosion, and shifting grounds made trees fall towards the river. Proximity to the water makes it possible for this Cottonwood tree to continue thriving against all odds.
