2019-07-08: View from the top of Monte Sol near Santa Fe
A steep valley separates Monte Sol from Atalaya Mountain in which flows the mostly dry Arroyo de los Chamisos. The arroyo has its source on Monte Sol from which it goes down along the south side of the city of Santa Fe before joining the Santa Fe River west of the city. Chamisos are drought resistant bushes which are covered with yellow flower in early summer.
