2020-08-05: The Sangre de Cristo forest east of Santa Fe
The Alamo Vista Trail offers great views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the aspen and pine forests which cover hem. Monsoon clouds look threatening or promising, depending on one's point of view. Threatening for unprepared mountain hikers, promising for those who are wishing for rain on this particularly dry 2020 year. Unfortunately, these particular clouds failed to bring any rain.
