2020-08-05: Monsoon clouds in Mountains east of Santa Fe (B&W)
The Alamo Vista Trail crosses aspen and pine forests in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Along it is a clearing, possibly the result of an old forest fire, from which one can enjoy far-away vistas. These Monsoon clouds looked threatening. Unfortunately, they dissipated without bringing any rain on this side of the mountain. The Santa Fe River will have to wait for another day to see its watershed receiving any significant amount of water during this particularly dry year.
