2019-05-14: Monsoon clouds behind Santa Fe foothills
Clouds are building-up behind the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a welcome sign of an early Monsoon season. This picture was taken in the month of May. Typically, the summer rains start later, in June, and last until early September. The hot summer days are needed to trigger formation of the most significant rainstorms.
