2020-09-05: Santa Fe Lake, source of Santa Fe River

Santa Fe Lake, the source of the Santa Fe River, is located at the bottom of a deep circle of high mountains dominated by Tesuque Peak (12,040 ft), from which this picture was taken, and Deception Peak (12,320 ft) on the opposite side. Penitente Peak (12,249 ft) can be seen to the right of Deception Peak, Santa Fe Baldy (12,622 ft) to the left. In addition to the Santa Fe River, several other streams originate from around these high peaks.
