2019-07-02: Hollyhock flowers imported in 1598

While spreading wildly throughout Santa Fe Hollyhocks are not native to New Mexico. They were imported from Spain through Mexico and eventually to New Mexico and Santa Fe in 1598. The plant can be found flowering in sidewalk cracks as well as private garden.
